Tasha and Gordon define the term “jetsetters” to a tee! The couple got engaged during a romantic rendezvous in Bali and held their wedding in equally as exotic South Africa, but with a Balinese twist. With the help of the creative talent at The Aleit Group, the couple pulled together a stunning outdoor ceremony at the Suncoast Hotel with vibrant pops of fuchsia, teal and gold. A sitar player accompanied Tasha’s walk down the aisle, and guests cooled down with wooden fans turned ceremony programs.Tasha wore a truly unique gown by local South African talent Klûk with an intricate scalloped edge. A string of orchids wrapped around her wrist complemented her non-traditional dress in place of a bouquet. It’s obvious this couple wasn’t afraid of making a statement, and their dramatic place card display was no exception! What seems like hundreds of strings hung with escort cards delicately tied on, with pops of hot pink of course! Over-sized cages in their palette flanked the reception space, The Czar, which fittingly means “a place of magic.”Tasha and Gordon’s reception tables were beautifully curated displays of vivid florals and Southeast Asian-inspired vessels. Above hung sparkling chandeliers, from which menus and table numbers were creatively displayed. Not only did the venue bring Bali and South Africa together cohesively, the food and drinks (which included a Chai Martini) were also Asian inspired. And we’re loving those teal and gold linens, too!At a wedding this vibrant, the dance floor couldn’t be anything but a confetti filled, lantern topped celebration! Who wouldn’t want to have their first dance in a setting like this?!From the drinks to the dinner tables, and everything in between, this couple perfectly infused a location that had great meaning to them while celebrating thousands of miles away. Congratulations Tasha and Gordon!
