We’ve got more from the Engage!14 event today – but this time, we’re taking a look at the swanky setting where I had the pleasure of staying for five fabulous days, at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch. I get to visit a lot of luxury resorts with this job (not hard work, I can’t lie!) but every once and a while one property will really jump out at me as incredible. The Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch did just that. From the moment I walked in and was greeted with big smiles and friendly faces (something that’s so important to your destination wedding guest experience), to the local artisan postcards left on my pillows at night and the stunning views of the ski runs and mountain tops from the big bay windows in my room…they really had me at hello and I never wanted to say goodbye.
Set right on the mountain in Beaver Creek, the resort feels like a giant log cabin, complete with fire pits, floor to ceiling fireplaces, even jacuzzis hidden underneath big trees.
To make you feel even more like you’re at home in the woods, they even have a resident dog – Bachelor (the property is very dog friendly). Bachelor is 130 lb St. Bernard with lots of personality (and he takes wedding photos too so just ask)!
And what we experienced in cuisine was spectacular! From a covered wagon charcuterie station to dinner dinning by Spago and Wolfgang Puck (they have a restaurant on property and Spago does the event catering!)…we feasted like kings and queens as week!
The property has several options for weddings – from intimate spaces to areas for up to 350 guests. The ballroom is beautifully appointed with rustic chic details (stay tuned for Monday’s post when we show you the gala), or you can wed on the skier bridge lawn which has views of the valley and holds up to 250 loved ones. You can also say I do in the Beaver Creek Chapel, a cobble stone-adorned space that fits 200. It’s off property, but the Ritz will get you to and from. And if you say yes to a summer wedding, then consider the mountainside terrace, just at the base of the ski lift with stunning views and sun.
I highly recommend the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch for a mountain destination wedding – in the snow or sun! The views will take your breath away, the food will fill your tummies with delight, the staff will make you want to stay forever, and the rustic luxe details of the property will help give you an unforgettable event experience. Oh, and while I didn’t have time to indulge, they have a spa that is of the top spas in the world!! Heaven on earth.
