Today’s destination wedding comes from the small lakeside town of Bigfork, Montana – a favorite among fishermen and lovers of the great outdoors. Brett and Erin live in Los Angeles, but landed on this lakeside locale for their less than traditional “I do’s”. The beautiful ceremony full of blue hues, purples and whites took place near a dock at Flathead Lake (famous for being the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi). And for the reception, guests moved inside to the quaint the Swan River Inn.We actually received this event from the wedding videographer, Blueberry Fusion. They created a festive and playful recap of the event that even pokes a little fun at the groom. See, the bride used to nickname her former suitors and Brett was no exception. But during a toast at the reception, he was given his true name back as he became an official member of their family.
Later the groom paid tribute to his bride in his own way. Brett is a musician (and actually how he met his bride), so it was only fitting that during the reception he serenaded Erin with a song! When all the festivities were said and done, the couple gave guests meaningful wedding favors. Brett and Erin chose to donate on behalf of their guests to a school in Africa that is close to Erin’s heart. In fact, on a recent trip there, she, with the help of one of her bridesmaids started that school! So it was a perfect gift to give friends and family (and the kids so far away) on such a special day.
Congratulations Brett and Erin!
