When we think of destination weddings, so often our minds wander to white sands and clear blue waters. But the unsung hero of the destination wedding, in my book is the winter and snowy wedding! I love the luxe look of lush fabrics, fancy (faux) furs, snow falling and a bride and groom strolling through the streets as if they are the only two people on earth. Winter weddings can take on several design variations – from Christmas red to silver bling, white hot, or one of my personal faves, this almost grayish tone of pale blue that we find in floral and winter decor. So grab a cup of hot cocoa and cuddle up with today’s destination winter wonderland.

Beyond that almost steel gray blue color that is so piercingly pretty and icy (in a good way), stark whites and a little crystal goes a long way. There’s something about such a simple palette when paired with the depth photos capture in the snow that just makes me stop and stare. Whether in a city or out in the countryside, a snowy destination “I do” is truly divine. And bonus – skiing activities galore for you and your guests after the big day is done (I might suggest holding off on the slopes until after the ceremony, just to avoid any potential mishaps on the way down). Now only if it snowed here on the coast of sunny Southern California!
