Ben and Lindsay and 30 of their loved ones traveled to beautiful Costa Rica for a beach destination wedding full of festive details and fun! The couple enlisted the go-to Costa Rica wedding planning guru, Aimee Monihan of Tropical Occasions to design and produce the intimate gathering and the result, well, the photos speak for themselves!
The rustic florals were perfect for the sand setting and didn’t overpower the beauty of all that surrounded them.
And what destination wedding is complete without a white horse?!
We asked Aimee about the wedding and the personal touches that came to life. “They live in Seattle Washington. They love to travel and celebrate life any chance they get. They were Super down to earth fun, life-loving people who wanted a wedding that reflected all that. They really wanted guests to have a blast and fun, creative carefree wedding day that echoes who they are as individuals and as a couple. So all the design elements, food, décor was planned to do just that.”
“Fun Touches like a wheelbarrow as the ice chest for cocktail hour and fun pin wheels and quirky details were used throughout to give the event a fun and whimsical air that the couple wanted.”
“Ben and Lindsay really wanted to have a very eco conscious and desire to have some creative and whimsical touches their wedding and design. Recycled tin cans painted were decided on to hold all the flowers for the reception table. Flowers that are native to Costa Rica were used along with moving a lot of the ceremony décor to the table for dual purpose and usage to be as green and eco conscious as possible.”
One long table flanked with a chevron runner was the perfect modern touch for this poolside dinner party.
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
