Map Inspired Wedding Decor

Seeing as we just featured a fun travel themed destination wedding, we found it perfect timing to share our thoughts on map inspired decor for you wedding! This wedding theme works great for couples who have decided on a destination wedding or a wedding at home, because the map can represent many different things when incorporated into your decorations. If you are holding your nuptials abroad, then you can use maps of your home town/state/country as a tribute to the place you love. And if you are home sweet home, then you can use maps of the places you always want to go or of the places that are significant to your relationship!

One of the best ideas I’ve seen with this kind of theme is displaying a map of the world (or the states if there aren’t any foreigners at your big day celebration) and allowing your guests to pinpoint where they traveled from. It can also be a great way to let them know which tables they will be seated at, again, based on where they traveled from. Another adorable concept for the map theme is paper flowers formed from maps! If you’re hip and want to toss tradition and go for a paper bouquet, this idea would be perfect. You could do it as you see in the image below, or if you want, mix real and paper map flowers together as a sort of hybrid bouquet: Darling!

There are plenty of clever thoughts on map themed weddings (some pictured below) to take in, you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how fun it will all turn out. Have fun with this one!
