Chiara and Danilo wed on July 14th in Bagnolo Piemonte, Italy – a nearby destination wedding for the couple who are based in Milan. They selected this special location because the groom had childhood roots there so it had personal meaning to them. The small historic town was perfect for their romantic destination wedding in a countryside. Surrounded by medieval castles and vineyards it doesn’t get much more lovely than this!
A traditional church mass took place in the breathtaking Santuario Madonna della Neve which contrasted their non-traditional style of décor, but the colors of reds, greens and whites blended beautifully throughout the entire event.
Then the guests moved to celebrate at the reception which took place in an ancient castle in the Piedmont Countryside. Castello di Bagnolo Piemonte is a small castle, and property of the duchess of Bagnolo Piemonte, and one amazing wedding venue! A mix of elegant and alternative décor was woven throughout the historic property.
Keys to the reception welcomed guests in to their home for the evening.
Chiara and Danilo’s wedding photographer, Les Amis Photo, shared with us the inspiration behind the design and décor of the day. “The reception details came about because in the medieval period the two areas (Lombardy and Piedmont) were divided in duchy with bad relation with each other…from this inspiration came the details of stationery with castles and ducats names.”
“The color came about because it’s a regal color, in tune with the style.”
Guests settled into an evening of great food, wine and friends in the courtyard of the castle. A truly magical evening in a magical place!
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
