Stephanie and Cody said I do in an intimate ceremony in Rome, Italy for their destination wedding. Stephanie shared with us the special details and decisions from their day – like why they selected the city they did! “I had been to Rome once before and have a being part Italian, fell in love with the city, as many people do. We also wanted a unique wedding location that’s filled with timeless tradition, history, and magnificence all packed into one. Considering our love for travel mixed with a passion for adventure, beauty, and antiquity – we choose Rome, Italy.”
“My inspiration and theme for the day was the idea of a quintessential Italian wedding. We selected our color palette to compliment the natural beauty of Italy’s surroundings and the clothing style to match the traditional Italian attire.”
“Other small details include the groom’s made to measure suit and his cufflinks which were passed down from his grandfather and I designed my lace top.”
“I selected my flowers, venue, and dress with elegance, timelessness, and classic Italy in mind. I really wanted the whole look to be ethereal just like the city of Rome.”
“We loved the white Fiat 500 that Brenda Babcock, Italia Celebrations, arranged for us. It was so special to ride around the city in a classic Italian car during the day, and receive a champagne toast from the driver at the end of our photo session! She also surprised us by spontaneously requesting a violinist nearby to serenade us during our first look outside our apartment. Our photo session with Rochelle Cheever was an amazing experience as she took us to unique spots all around the city.”
“To top it off, the spectacular dinner on the balcony of the Palazzo Manfredi Aroma restaurant overlooking the Colosseum lit up at night was almost like a dream.”
“My advice to other brides who decide to have a destination wedding is to make sure they take care of four major decisions right away. First and foremost decide on the destination. Then, find a dress to fit the setting because the dress takes some time to arrive and get alterations. Next, I recommend hiring a wedding planner especially if you are trying to coordinate details in another country and all the other details will follow nicely. This is essential to successful planning and a stress free day. I highly recommend Italia Celebrations in Italy! You also want to book your photographer at the same time so you can secure the one you want, a talented photographer is a very important aspect of the day and the photos are the memories you can look back on, so don’t skimp on this! Of course, I recommend Rochelle Cheever, her work is artistic and stunning!”
“Our wedding day was perfect thanks to all the wonderful people involved at San Camillo de Lellis, Italia Celebrations, Rochelle Cheever, Palazzo Manfredi Aroma restaurant, and all the vendors!”
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
