Lindsey and Francesco selected an old favorite for their destination wedding – Montego Bay, Jamaica. But not just any spot would do, they opted to wed at the historic Rose Hall Great House, a stunning property with rich history (built in 1770). Lindsey tells us how they found such a spot. “The first time we traveled to Jamaica, we saw an advertisement for the Rose Hall Great House in the Mobay Airport. While we were waiting for our transport, we inquired about it and learned that it was a “haunted” and beautiful home used for functions and a museum. We though, we should check it out while we’re here. We weren’t even engaged yet, not even talking about marriage!”
Lindsey wore a beautiful Monique Lhuillier wedding dress while Francesco donned a dapper custom tux.
Once the location was secured, the tone for the event was set. “The theme of the entire event was simply whimsical. We wanted it to feel like the perfect mix of party and reprieve, and we wanted people to see the sky, feel the air, and sink right into the feeling with us.”
We asked Georgia Watson, the couple’s destination wedding planner about the event. “Lindsey’s style was sophisticated, fun, simple yet spunky, with clean and {happy} details. Silver, Plum, Peacock blue, Turquoise, were all hues that we played with.”
What a beautiful ceremony site!! And with a local children’s choir to serenade the couple – how perfect!
Georgia filled us in on working on island. “We arranged for many of the details to be supplied by the Jamaican vendors. The business owners and vendors that were secured in Jamaica were wonderful people, big hearts, proud of their work, and willing to please. But yet, I came packed. I brought with me: the linens, the stationary, the rocks for the placecards (which we soon learned I could have gotten them from the beach), the ceremony items, led lights, programs, the brooch bouquet, and of course my SOS kit.”
For the cocktail hour, tropical and of course, color coordinated drinks were served to kick off the festivities!
Then the blue hue was carried into the reception with table runners and even sea glass and shells around the escort cards.
This historic house then went from day to night for the reception.
“Lindsey and Frank are simply gifted with having a family like they do. The group danced and partied to the very last possible minute….a true tribute to how much this couple was loved and supported.”
“ WOWOWOW! Lindsey and Frank have secured their place – a special place in my heart.” – Georgia Watson.
