Today’s elopement was an intimate wedding in Iceland!
Crystal and Sam opted for a small wedding of just close friends and family, which made Iceland an ideal location for them – where only few could travel. Crystal’s dad actually recommended the destination and the rest was history! The couple hired a wedding planner to assist and they began to plan their wedding in Iceland.
The wedding took place in fall so warm coats were needed to keep guests comfortable. Crystal opted for a beautiful white coat that was befitting of a destination bride!
The ceremony took place outside overlooking a beautiful waterfall before guests headed back to the hotel for the reception.
When you host a wedding in Iceland, it’s important to build in extra time for your photographers. This pair posed in front of the falls, creating lasting memories for a lifetime.

Before the reception began, guests enjoyed a light snack and a celebratory glass of champagne at the ceremony site.
Simplistic elegance was what the couple was going for with their reception look. Instead of centerpieces, they placed photos from their relationship down the table’s center and later they invited friends and family to take them home with them. What a fantastic and personal idea! And no need for flowers when in a setting like this.
At the end of the night, a tower of dessert was served and this wedding in Iceland was complete. No cold, weather or other surprises could shadow this big day!
