This happy couples touched down in Naples, Florida for their destination wedding at LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort. This location? Well, as meant to be as the two of them! Annabelle shared every fabulous detail and moment not only of their wedding day, but leading up to it as well. “LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort is a very special place to T.J. and T.J.’s parents who live in Naples, Florida during the brutal Ohio winter months. For the past 11 years T.J. has spent every March visiting his parents in Naples. On every trip T.J. visited LaPlaya, and he hoped one day it would be the destination for his wedding. When T.J. and I met, we both finally understood the phrase “When you know, you know”. We knew very early on that we were going to get married. On a trip to Naples a year before the wedding, we were enjoying the beautiful beach at LaPlaya and suddenly decided to see what dates they had available for weddings. The staff told us several dates. We actually put down a deposit/booked our wedding date before we were officially engaged!”
“Living in Cincinnati while planning a wedding in Naples in itself was a challenge. Finding the right vendors is very difficult when planning a wedding out of state. Luckily the stars were aligned and we found the right people at the right times! Starting with Emily (Emily Faith Photography)…it was just meant to be when we found her from a friend of a friend on Facebook. Emily was living in the Cincinnati area and was moving to Florida shortly before our wedding. We met with her, and just got a good feeling! We did one trip to Florida before the wedding and met with Pam of Bon Soiree Events (quite briefly). In that time, she really understood our vision of a modern feel. Pam just got us. We exchanged a few emails, and spoke a few times on the phone regarding our ideas, and she went running with it!!”
And run with it they did – with a magical beach appropriate color palette of white, purples, and teals!
This wedding had a bigger entourage than usual, with lots of lovely little girls running around! And to honor them, what a great gift idea for flower girls! “All four of our flower girls (aged 4-7) are really into American Girls. As our gift to them, we had some custom made bridal gowns with sashes of our wedding colors. The girls loved them so much, they wanted to take them down the aisle with them.”
The groom and groomsmen embraced the color palette in a perfect chic and masculine way with these dapper suits and ties.
A seaside ceremony was obviously in order at this beautiful property and the shell details tied the ocean in seamlessly to the grassy site next to the sand.
We love the joy in Annabelle in this moment, she’s glowing!
Then it was onto dinner, dancing and more great wedding details!
A poolside dinner was on the menu as guests found their way to their seats through message in a bottle place cards!
And when dinner was done, the after party was set to begin! Many venues have curfews and this couple used it to their advantage! “We had a “transitional wedding”. We started with a ceremony/cocktail hour on the lawn with the beach in clear view. We then transitioned to the north pool area. They had a sound ordinance there until 10pm, so we moved the party (in a chic way with guests making an arch with sparklers) across the street to a ball room which had a “South Beach” lounge type vibe.”
“I know it’s so cliche, but our wedding was truly the best day of our lives! It surpassed our own visions of a “dream wedding”. It was more magical, beautiful and flat out perfect than either of us could have imagined. Every last detail was well thought out and executed. It is almost indescribable to have all of your closest friends and family together in such a breathtaking setting. It was almost surreal. Thank goodness Emily captured all the special touches that we were too caught up in the moment to see!” Ahhh…
Congratulations Annabelle and TJ!

Wedding Vendors: Location: LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort, Dress: Forever Yours Bridal, Wedding Planner: Bon Soiree Events, Flowers: Signature Florals
I’ve been looking for almost a week now trying to find that dress, any idea where the bride got it from?!
It’s from a designer called Forever Yours (see:
http://www.foreverbridals.com/). The couples was from Ohio so you might try their local store if you get stuck but the manufacturer would be able to tell you about the dress specifically and where it is sold in your area.
We are so honored to have one of our weddings featured! Beautiful post!
