Mardi Gras Destination Wedding Inspiration

Ever been to Mardi Gras and couldn’t get enough of the fun, food and festivities!? Why not venture on down to New Orleans (or any of the other cities around the world celebrating) and incorporate all the traditions of this infamous event into your destination wedding? In addition to the vibrant Mardi Gras color palette, the symbols and customs would make for a very festive wedding. Beautifully adorned masks can act as both place setting eye-catchers and favors and the fleur-de-lis symbol is perfect for incorporating on your paper goods. In place of a traditional wedding cake, serve a king cake. Traditionally, a small baby trinket is baked inside this cake and whoever gets the piece containing it is supposed to host the next party! For a fun wedding twist, bake a plastic engagement ring inside and the person who spots it in their piece may just be the next in line to tie the knot!mardi-gras-destination-wedding-ideas
