We’re back with more amazing destination wedding inspiration from the recent Engage Summit. This one took place in Cancun, Mexico at the modern and oh-so special Nizuc Resort & Spa. Engage!17: Nizuc is a conference unlike any other, designed for event professionals to gain insights into our businesses but also to get new ideas to take back to couples like you.
Nizuc is nestled on two picture-perfect beaches so it was only fitting that the week kicked off with a beach party that would have made the most amazing wedding welcome party in Mexico too.
The look was created by local floral, production and rental masters, Canteiro Weddings, who custom built the furniture, designed the floral and even created this massive tequila bar in theme for the night.
The look was all white (with hints of gold) which I love for a welcome party or rehearsal dinner. In this case the guests didn’t dress in all white, it was fiesta themed for us, but even an entirely white dress code can be fun while the bride and/or groom dresses in a color of their choosing that pops against the neutral palette.
One of my favorite details of this beach wedding party were these metallic pinatas as part of the decor! We didn’t actually break into them but they reflected the location and the look of the party with perfection.
This tequila bar built by Canteiro Weddings was the hit of the party! What better way to get your Mexico destination wedding started than with a little tequila or mezcal tasting served up at a bar in theme with the cocktails?!
But the theme of this party wasn’t just carried out by the cocktails, even the entertainment by Elan Artists paid tribute to the culture surrounding us – a great way to show your guests what you love about the region you pick for your destination wedding.
And what beach party would be complete without the magic of fireworks to finish off the night?! Engage always finds ways to surprise and dazzle their guests and these fireworks certainly did that for me! A great way to end the evening!
