Venturing to Italy (or even New York!) for your destination wedding? Celebrate what it’s famous for and serve pizza as your main course! It’s quite hard to find someone who doesn’t like pizza and there are so many options that it makes for quite the diverse, yet simple menu. Choose a quaint restaurant known for its pizza amongst the Italian locals or have your caterer set up a pizza bar where guests can add a little something extra to the pizza of their choice. If you’d rather have a traditional dinner, serve mini-sized slices, or creative pizza cones, as a crowd-pleasing appetizer! We once worked on a secret celebrity wedding in Italy where for the after party guests were ushered into a new room – a pop up Italian pizzeria in the reception venue! Red and white checkered tablecloths and all, a great way to end the night or get the late night party started.

Of course, if you’re serving pizza at your wedding, why not set the stage for a bit more Italian flair, too? Nobody will turn down a spread of delicious and authentic bread alongside the finest Italian wines (Try having the wine labels custom made as your table numbers!) For favors, give miniature bottles of olive oil or pizza sauce so guests can relive their Italian meal long after the wedding ends. You can even attach a recipe suggestion for your favorite Italian pizza. I don’t know about you, but if I attend a destination wedding where pizza was served, I’d be quite the happy (and full) guest!
