Mandy and Matt hosted a domestic destination wedding in the mountains of Vermont at the beautiful Topnotch Resort & Spa in Stowe. Their gorgeous fall wedding in Vermont was the exact wedding the pair wanted after meeting in the state back in College. So it was only fitting they would return for their big day!
The couple tied the knot in a field with a mountain range as the backdrop and light rain falling all around. You know, rain on your wedding day is good luck! And this bride and groom bared the rain to exchange vows so they must be blessed with extra good luck!

There was no question in our mind that we wanted to get married in Vermont because it is where we met…
Ultimately we choose Top Notch because it allowed us to have our ceremony and reception in one location which meant we could be married in a field surrounded by our favorite mountains and people and then walk only several feet for good food and awesome music.
Favorite moment(s) from the day?
Matt: My favorite moment was just before Many walked down the aisle with her father, our flower girls who were suppose to be spreading flowers down the aisle stopped in apparent sudden stage fright to allow a cosmic pause to a hectic and exciting day before we actually got married.
Mandy: My favorite moment was the excitement, hope and overwhelming love I felt as I was approaching Matt for our first look and I will never forget Matt’s smile when we first saw one another.
To be honest, Matt and I were completely uninvolved in the details of the wedding. We have been living across the country in Boise, ID where I have been completing my family medicine residency so we quickly handed over all the decision making to my mom and our wedding planner. We were so incredibly fortunate to be guests at our own wedding.
Advice for future destination wedding couples?
Trust your mother.
