Purple Wedding Ideas

Today’s destination wedding inspiration comes from one of my favorite colors – purple!!  A hot hue in weddings around the world and destination “I do’s” are no exception.  As we head further into fall, this plum variation on the color is popping up not only at events, but in holidays and home decor too.  The options are endless for ways in which you can incorporate the color, but here are a few of my faves.  Purple ice cream?  What could be better!  Especially in a hot locale – a sweet treat to pass during cocktails or serve up at the end of the night with your corresponding cake.

Surprisingly, you’ll find a lot of purple foods for your menu, should you choose to take your theme to the table.  From eggplant to grapes, martinis and macaroons, even a little shot of a smoothie or soup puree, your table will look and taste great too!  Or scale back the theme and perhaps weave the color into your invitations and floral decor only.  For added accents, pop in pieces of purple furniture or even order up purple bridesmaid dresses!  If you’re getting married at the beach, shop around for purple toned shells to embellish your tables, centerpieces, and even bouquets with!

The color has so much depth to it and even significance in cultures around the world, so no matter where you choose to wed, it’s likely you’ll be able to match this palette to your place perfectly!
