Beach Destination Wedding at Rancho Pescadero

Karly and Peter packed their bags and headed south of the boarder from California to Mexico for their intimate destination wedding at the new beach property, Rancho Pescadero.  Karly shared with us her favorite things from the wedding – and the location was certainly at the top of her list!  “Our venue was far and away our favorite thing, we were able to take over the whole property for 3 days with our family and friends. It was so private and perfect with the most thoughtful touches that make you feel at home, and don’t even get us started on the incredible food! They have an on property organic garden which is as beautiful as it is tasty. That combined with the amazing Chef Bueno equals the freshest most delicious comida, we definitely indulged!”

No detail was left undone at this wedding with the help of SIGNATURE Event Consulting & Design.  They shared with us the inspiration for the big day.  “I am always bringing up the movie Great Expectations (a film by Alfonso Cuarón) as my reference for a romantic wedding setting. I love how the green, the lights and the whites play such an amazing role throughout the whole movie and this was our inspiration for their casually elegant decor.”

Karly gushed about the moments when they said I do!  “I will never forget Peter and I standing barefoot on the sand in the sunset in front of our family and closest friends reading our own vows to each other. The words that Peter spoke to me were so touching and heartfelt, I couldn’t believe he had been taking notes of all the little things he loves about me throughout our 4 years of dating so he could tell me on our special day. Our ceremony was so personal and loving and it was so emotional for Peter and I to share our love and commitment to each other with our favorite people.”

“Mother nature pulled out all the stops and blesses us with warm sunshine topped off with the most jaw dropping sunset…amazing!”

“Our favorite photo is of the two of us walking away from the ceremony with the mariachi band, the ocean, and our guests in the background. It really captures the spirit of the day and what a beautiful setting we were able to get married in.”

Sarai and Martha did an amazing job thinking of every detail and making the whole weekend special and stylish. A few of my absolute favorite details of the wedding day were our seating cards and the way they were displayed, the wood benches that were custom built for our ceremony on the sand and the whole simple yet stunning ceremony set up on the beach, the candle lit dinner tables, and the flowers! The flowers were just perfect!”

“We can say enough about how breath taking the reception decor was. The table settings were so romantic and timeless and the entire space was transformed into what felt like old world Mexico with the iron candelabras and gorgeous sprawling flowers.”

Sarai and Martha from SIGNATURE  shared how they created the look.  “We used long rectangle tables with nice long linen tablecloths. We added a bold mauve runner and ivory manta napkin. The iron candelabras and chairs bring up just enough of a rustic feeling without making it look low key, but quite the opposite. Pina, our fabulous floral designer, is an expert in making the ivy and the flowers look flowing and natural, almost as if they had grown there. The final key elements are candles, heaps of them, in different sizes. Just lovely.”

But this party wasn’t all about the decor.  As the bride explained, music was equally as important!  “Our DJ was also a highlight. Music is so important to us and our DJ took note of a few of our favorite songs and put together a great selection for dinner then really got the dance party going and didn’t stop. We had a ball dancing the night away.
