Today and over the course of the next few days we’re going to be sharing some incredible destination wedding inspiration from the recent Engage!15: Nizuc wedding business summit where we got to see firsthand some of the best of the best in weddings in Mexico and the US.
This spectacular beach welcome party was on the sand in front of the amazing Nizuc Resort and Spa, where the conference was held.
Local wedding professionals in the Cancun area came together to show us what a truly fabulous fiesta is like – perfect for a destination wedding in Mexico.
Pillows, runners, and textiles all around us were woven in this colorful motif that fit the locale perfectly and really infused the local culture into the event.
But my favorite might have been the mariachis!
The motif was also found on the custom bar, right next to a speciality tequila bar for guests to enjoy the local flavors.
The bright flower colors mimicked the fabrics and helped carry the theme throughout the beach.
There were even tiny birds telling fortunes and futures for us!
But the most unique design element was probably the giant, lit ‘tacos’ sign in the sand, where guests stood for photo ops throughout the evening. As the night when on and the sun went down, this became a guest favorite for sure!
It wouldn’t be Engage without a few surprises, like fireworks at the end of the evening! We stood on the beach and had our own private show!
