Inspired by the Viceroy Hotel

We’re continually inspired by the great hotel locations, stateside and abroad, where you can host your destination wedding. First it was the historic romance of the Langham, and today we’re taking a turn towards the bold and graphic with the Viceroy. With a modern base of black and white, the Viceroy’s decor defines the “pop of color” concept with bursts of bright hues. Our hue of choice? Yellow.

Start off with the classic combination of black and white with your attire (Your bridesmaids will thank you for choosing a little black dress they can wear again!) and add pops of yellow with your florals, ideally amongst black and white anemones. Your paper goods can make a statement, too, with graphic stripes and patterns and a mix of striking fonts.

Your reception is where the Viceroy’s inspiration can really shine. Long tables are ideal, draped in black or even striped linens, and flanked with lacquered vessels. Play with the shapes in your place settings, just as the hotel’s decor does, topping each with a burst of yellow.

If there’s one place to go all out with this theme, it’s your dessert bar! Striped cakes, lemon-flavored treats, black and white candies… the list could go on! In a hotel that already has so much going decor-wise, embrace it and enhance it, for an eye-popping look that is sure to wow!
