If you’re addicted to looking at the entire wedding category on Pinterest like I am, then I’m sure you’ve seen how popular the “Ranch/Rustic” styled destination wedding theme is and just how beautiful it can be. Some versions of it seem, for lack of a better word, a bit redneck, but if this is the theme you are dying to have then there are much more stylish and classy ways to go about it!
First think of what a ranch or rustic wedding means or looks like to you and base everything on that. Maybe you see “Ranch” as a spacious plot of land in Colorado with a vintage, equestrian feel. With that you can make use of vintage anything from the china to the lighting! This type of theme is very romantic and soft which can compliment the rugged scenery of the Western countryside. Try simple and sweet colors, textures (like the cake pictured below!), and flowers. But don’t forget lighting, because it can make the biggest difference! Lanterns, twinkle lights, and even chandeliers look amazing hung from trees as well as inside a rustic building. Everyone may see this theme differently and that’s great, but to keep it from getting too “Yee-Haw”, remember our advice!
