Lacey and Shawn’s destination wedding in the Philippines was held at the beautiful Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa in Cebu.

As part of our job we get to travel around the world to speak at different seminars. We have been blessed to experience a ton of places and different cultures. We fell in love with the beauty and people of the Philippines and immediately knew that is the place we wanted to get married. All of our closest friends travel a ton as well and we thought it would be nice to go where most of them had not been.
We asked the bride and groom what their favorite moment from their destination wedding in the Philippines was. Definitely the first look! That first moment when you see each other and everything comes together.
We were looking for something that represented our style as a couple.
I wanted something simple and elegant without the traditional black, white and red. I loved the idea of crystals reflecting light and hanging flowers. And I have always loved orchids and wanted that look and feel all around the aisle. The flowers that the planner ended up using are native to the Philippines and turned out beautifully. The backdrop in the church and the ocean through the huge windows added the final touches!
