Julianne and Phil were married in August 2011 in Winter Park, Florida. But the big destination for these two lovebirds was their honeymoon – to Zurich, Switzerland! The newlyweds jetted off to Europe just after the big day and when they touched down, a fantastic photo shoot was held!
But let’s back up a minute first. Why Switzerland? This couple planned their vacation keeping in mind exactly what it was they wanted to experience, and so they found a locale that balanced a relaxed city culture and beautiful natural backdrops. Julianne and Phil “wanted a honeymoon that offered opportunities to enjoy natural landscapes and have the option to go out on the town and experience a different culture. Zurich offered both of these,” honeymoon photographer Abby Liga tells us.
Abby actually traveled with the pair specifically assigned to capture their moments of love, laughter, and a lot of relaxation as they unwound from the wedding. As their wedding photographer in Florida, this team knew it would be a piece of cake (and a lot of fun together too). If you have to have a party of three on your honeymoon, make it count and opt for fabulous photos to remember it by!
“Julianne and Phil, realizing the importance of capturing all of these one-of-a-kind events in life, invited me along to photograph a glimpse of their honeymoon beginning in Zurich. How can a girl say no? We met up in the beautiful city just 2 days after theirwedding. After a day of travel and acclamation, Julianne, Phil, and I met right in the Old Town District and picked up right where we left off at The Winter Park Farmers Market.”
Given this was their third shoot together, the couple eased right into their everyday life, just in front of the camera.
The bride even tossed in a subtle theme to the shoot. Rather than adding in props and distractions from the natural beauty of the day and the couple, Julianne simply incorporated the color of yellow – a color woven into their engagement session, wedding, and now honeymoon. Smart!
Then a change of clothes and off to get a pint!
The bride even packed up her wedding dress for the long flight, just so she could wear it one last time!
They certainly had a fun day out exploring on their honeymoon, and now the couple has some amazing photos to share it and remember it back home.
