Meghan and Ryan, originally from Maryland opted for a wedding on the beach in Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica. The couple run a travel agency and wedding planning business so it seemed perfectly fitting to pick such a special spot on the map.
They embraced the tropical locale with florals and colors fitting of such a lush country. Each bridesmaid walked with a different bouquet in a color that practically pop off our page (and designed by Crimson & Clover)!
And two darling flower girls practically stole the show in their sweet yellow dresses as they ran about on the beach.
The beautiful ceremony took place on the sand at Hotel Bosque Del Mar. Lanterns and orchids dressed the aisles of benches where guests sat.
The pair decided to write their own wedding vows. But it wasn’t just the bride and groom who got in on this special ceremony. The bride’s mother read from Dr. Seuss’ Oh the Places You’ll Go and her sister actually rapped a speech to the tune of the Fresh Prince. Now that is what we call a one-of-a-kind vow ceremony!
Jeremie Barlow snapped up some sweet moments of the couple before they headed to dinner.
The dinner took place in an open air dining room with a beautiful view of the beach. For dancing, salsa music was on the agenda and cigars flowed throughout the evening as guests dined, wined, and danced the night away.
A beautiful wooden custom “guest book” was created for guests to autograph and the couple to keep as a wonderful art piece after the big day.
The hotel was littered with orchids everywhere to enhance the already stunning setting.
From the reception to the after party the guests headed to the beach for a bonfire complete with roasted marshmallows. The bride intended to make a quick wardrobe change before the end of the evening, but she loved her dress so much, she stayed in it until the very last guest left.
A great time was had by all! It’s moments like this one that reminds us to have a little fun on your wedding day and enjoy each and every moment.
