I’m totally and completely obsessed with today’s inspiration shoot captured by Tinywater Photography. A team of talented event professionals, lead by Amber of Platinum Planning, designed a beach wedding shoot unlike any other that I’ve seen. With the movie, Endless Summer in mind, they took inspiration from the silver screen and interpreted it into a vintage beach party we would have loved to attend! So many great ideas for the casual but detail driven destination beach wedding.
All the surf inspired paper products were designed with fun and a sense of nostalgia by Alice Koswara. This is one destination wedding invitation that is sure to get guests excited about packing their bags!
Love the shell necklace on the bride!
Surfboards not only doubled as a ceremony marker but also served as the guest book for friends and family to leave loving messages on.
For the intimate reception dinner, guests were welcomed to pillows in the sand and a low table draped in burlap and adorned with all the natural and vintage elements of the era they were inspired by.
To continue to carry the theme, mini surfboards were used for place cards. So cute!
The burlap napkins were embellished with raffia and shells to finish off the ocean look.
And what’s a beach party for your wedding without a themed dessert bar?!?! Complete with a cookie tower and even an ice cream station, this is every kid’s fantasy (and that of the kid in us too).
Mini bakery boxes and wax lined bags filled with sweet treats were the wedding favors designed by the team, and of course, it all matched perfectly with the tabletop.
Now here’s where they really got creative – dinner and a movie – at the beach!!!! What an amazing rehearsal dinner idea for a destination wedding!! Screen home movies, a photo slide show, or perhaps your favorite feature film in the background of dinner in the sand or as night falls to give your guests a different activity to partake in at the end of the evening.
Blankets and throw pillows welcomed guests to the screen when darkness came.
No movie screening is complete without beer and movie treats!
What a relaxing and laid back wedding day this would be! We love it! But if it’s a bit too casual for your style, consider the concept for a fab rehearsal dinner night instead!
