Cathy and Josh planned a fun and festive destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The couple clearly let their personalities shine in this big event, and guests enjoyed every minute of it!
The pair said “I do” at Hacienda Cocina y Cantina, a place they both fell in love with during their search. Josh was away at sea working as a United States Merchant Marine so planning a destination wedding was a bit of challenge. But Cathy’s dad stepped in and helped out when she needed it, making sure the day was just right for this happy couple.
The color palette was a cheerful blue and yellow with pops of pinks and orange. Talk about a celebration!
Cathy and Josh met through Josh’s little sister who had a hand in putting the pair together. She insisted repeatedly that he needed to meet her friend Cathy. And once they did, the rest was history!
The beach wedding had a beautiful ceremony structure to fit nicely with the culture but not to take away from the amazing scenery.
Fans kept the guests cool in the sun.
Someone got a little sand in her shoe!
Great idea for an outdoor or destination wedding – give your guests sunglasses (color coordinating of course) for the ceremony.
For the reception, lanterns and terracotta pots lined the tables, keeping with the authentic style of decor.
Cathy’s father not only helped with the wedding planning, but he became part of the entertainment too! He wrote and performed songs during the reception, dedicated to the newlyweds of course. What a special memory to have!
And for the grand finale?! Fireworks! What a way to end a wonderful night!
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
