It’s day two of our week of re-runs and today we’re taking you to Mexico for some of the most creative ceremony decor we’ve ever seen! Hope you’re enjoying your vacations like we are :)!
Charissa and Wesley held their destination wedding in lovely Rosemary Beach, FL. Hailing from Kentucky, this couple wanted touches of southern charm (like magnolias) but also to pay tribute to the beautiful beachside property they fell in love with so quickly. Charissa gave us insights into their event. “Being a very indecisive person… it took us exactly months to just pick a date! We definitely did not have the same issue on picking the location, we were sold at first sight! Wes and I had vacationed multiple times in the Destin area and knew that a “destination/beach” wedding was what we wanted. Our photographer had actually recommended that we visit Rosemary Beach as a venue. It was magnificent! We were drawn to the atmosphere, location, and structural design. Picking our location was the easiest decision during the whole wedding planning process.”
“The inspiration for the decor was a soft-neutral-southern theme.”
“We were married in the Rosemary Beach Town Hall. It resembled a small chapel though is used for the community gatherings. The town hall was a perfect combination between sleek coastal design and a traditional chapel. Our magnolia leaf cross was designed to bring the feel of a traditional alter in a non-traditional setting.”
“Very cliché…but my favorite moment was seeing my soon-to-be husbands reaction as I walked down the aisle and as it continued throughout the ceremony!”
At the reception, guests were greeted by a table chart on a rustic window before sitting down at the long, lovely tables.
The groomsmen gifts were Louisville Sluggers – an homage to home.
“Our wedding was simply magical! The day was spent relaxing with all my closest friends and family. When everyone lives in different cities it is rare to have everyone in one room together, it was extremely special!”
