Cristina and Rodrigo hosted their destination wedding in Ávila, Spain in a beautiful and romantic church wedding ceremony followed by a rustic vintage wedding reception with oodles of personal and pretty details. The couple shared with us the story of their big day abroad!
Marta (Gris Berenjena) helped very much with the planning, decoration and timing. I think it’s very important to have a wedding planner, especially when the wedding is original, like ours.
I was desperate because I didn’t find the dress I wanted. Then I went to Pronovias and saw this dress. It was love at first sight. It’s simple, mikado and with scoop neckline and a bow as a belt.
The church location was very special to this couple: It was the chapel of our school, where we met at 15. I was shy and he was so cute! But finally we started going out together and here we are. I’m the happiest woman in the world!!
Hotel Palacio de Monjaraz a wonderful place next to the chapel. The cocktails were tasty and colourful.
When guests arrived at the cocktail, there were pallets with envelopes for all, thanking them for being there. It was very moving. Everyone liked it.
Guests moved around the place, it was very dinamic. The menus had checklists where everyone was checking what the/she had already tested. There were always trays with warm dishes.
Gifts for guests: Lottery tickets in envelopes with a positive message. Women were given flat shoes.
The decoration was quite casual, there were no tablecloths. In every table, flowers were accompanied by positive messages. Marta prepared a table for the kids. Moreover, there was soft fruit candies and burgers from McDonalds!!
The fireworks were a big surprise (gift from my brother). And our friends and relatives prepared videos about us, that made all of us laugh and cry.
And in case you didn’t get enough of this sweet pair, here are a few shots from their engagement session that we fell in love with too!
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
