Melina and Wilfred wed in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Resort. Melina shared with us how to came to be. “We wanted the wedding planning process to be as stress free as possible. We picked a destination (since we live in different cities) and fell in love with Pueblo Bonito Pacifica since it had more of a small boutique hotel feel.”
Since this was a destination wedding, they gave guests adorable welcome bags perfect for the setting – complete with flip flops and all the essentials for a wonderful weekend away.
The bride’s shoes were pretty special too! Love!
The religious ceremony took place overlooking the ocean with lots of lovely pale blue details to mimic the color of the sea.
“Our wedding planner Laura Ortiz was amazing!! I would tell her my ideas and send endless pictures and the day came out absolutely amazing. My friends and family are still talking about it!”
Once the “I do’s” were complete, the couple headed to the beach for a few magical moments captured by photographer, Amy Bennett.
Then back for their outdoor reception.
“I wanted a simple elegance look with a romantic feel to it. To achieve this I focused on lighting – luminaries along the beach edge, soft lighting on the palm trees, decorative lighting with the stars and lots of candles (even though it made it even hotter, yikes!) and simple but varied flower arrangements on each table – without any bright colors.”
Mariachis serenaded the couple and got the party started!
This bride and groom had more than just a fabulous destination wedding adventure to look forward to! “Wil and I met seven years ago at work. We became super close and went to Business School together at USC (even though I’m a Bruin at heart)…Wil got a job at Apple after grad school so he moved to San Francisco. We’ve been traveling back and forth to see each other and now will start out new lives together in San Francisco.”
A cigar roller and delish wedding cake kept guests engaged well into the evening before the bride and groom headed home to start their next chapter together.
