Bryan and Andrea traveled all the way from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to the sunny spot of Jamaica for their destination wedding. Held at the Sandals Whitehouse Resort, this bride and groom settled on this site because, “We wanted something intimate and private. Based on a family referral and the highest recommendations for the location we decided it was exactly what we were looking for.” So off they went, packing up not only their belongings and 30 of their best friends and family, but their wedding photographer and videographer too in order to capture every memorable moment and detail.
And the details of this beach wedding were plentiful, as Sandals offers their couples one of several signature Martha Stewart Wedding designs. The orange and fuchsia colors were perfect for the Jamaican backdrop and the bride and groom recall loving the relaxing day leading up to the main event, “As the day was completely stress free we remember all the little details and think the whole day was special. We especially loved that the whole day took place on the beach and that our friends and family were able to participate in all of the events.” And on the beach they went, including an al fresco dinner in the sand, “The dinner reminded us of our trip to Greece where we frequently ate outdoors.” – A great way to share in things you love and lovely memories is to incorporate them into your event!
To get a feel for this fun-filled day, First Kiss Films sent us a highlight film of the event. The entire day was shot using vintage movie cameras and Kodak 16mm film stock! Love the look of this vintage (but color) film.
When you take your wedding videographer with you (or your photographer), ask that they spend some time capturing the landscape and location. As you can see from this video, it certainly adds to the memory and beauty of the day!The happy couple said “I do” on July 10th, 2011 and we wish them many more perfect sunsets and summers to follow!
