Curt and Tara tied the knot in a beautiful beach destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico at the Cabo Surf Hotel. We asked the couple to dish about their big day and here’s what they had to say.
Curt and I both have been traveling down to Cabo since 1989, having purchased a home in San Jose we wanted this location so we could share it with our friends and family. The Cabo Surf hotel is a 5 min walk from our home, the location of the hotel is absolutely stunning. No where in the Cabo area can you find a hotel that caters to everyone, has a casual atmosphere, amazing views and reasonable priced rooms.
I had an amazing team the event coordinators got to know me, my personality, likes/dislikes, how I wanted the night to feel, how I wanted my guests to feel and it just all came together. I might have been a little more difficult as I didn’t have a set color or design but I knew how I wanted the night to play out and they all made it happen.
I have a few favourite moments and this isn’t my first time at the BBQ this is Curt and I’s second and last marriage and we knew we wanted everyone to have a great time. My first favourite is both Curt and I coming down kicking our sandals off and joining our guests down on the beach having cocktails under the canopy around casual loungers and Curt and I looking at each other and saying okay lets get this party started….my second would be our first two dances we couldn’t decide so our first one was Loving you Easy going right into Chicken Fried both by Zac Brown Band and just as Chicken Fried was ending our fire works went off it was an amazing night.
Amy was able to get some great shots I did not want posing shots, I wanted fun shots of everyone having a great time and she got so many of them.
We have had so many of our guests say we have ruined any other weddings for them, not only was the Welcome Dinner fun, the wedding was a blast but the whole week was simply amazing. I remember my first wedding at 21 years of age everything was to make each others families happy, well second time around it was all about us having fun, sharing a week with our friends and family, and truly feeling grateful and blessed to have them all in our lives.
