Lindsey and Jason said I do in Athens, Greece – a spot special to the both of them. Their wedding planner, Vana Efkleidou from White Ribbon Boutique Events walked us through every magical (and pretty purple) detail of this formal destination wedding. “Combining the couple’s desire for an intimate affair in a beautiful setting as well as a place which held a lot of memories and a special place in their hearts for both the bride who had studied in Athens and groom whose heritage was Greek, a destination wedding in Athens was the perfect choice.” And so the couple selected Island Art & Taste to call home on their wedding day.
From purple invitations to perfectly branded welcome boxes for guests, no detail was left undone!
“The bride look stunning in her Manuel Mota gown while the groom wore a black and white tuxedo. The bride’s 4 bridesmaids matched the purple theme in long deep purple gowns.”
“We started planning the wedding about a year in advance and got instantly excited about this lavish affair as the bride had a very beautiful vision for her wedding day. While planning this wedding, the couple kept their priorities relatively simple. They knew they wanted an intimate Jewish ceremony, a romantic reception by the sea, beautiful and lavish décor, great food and music and an all-night party under the stars.”
“Along with the couple we designed wedding programs to explain the various rituals involved in a Jewish ceremony as many guests came from Greece and it was their first time witnessing such a ceremony. The couple offered guests custom-made Yamakas with their names and wedding date printed on them.”
“Their ceremony was held in a beautiful terrace overlooking the Aegean.”
“The ceremony was followed by the cocktail reception during sunset while the couple took photos with their wedding party. Later, the couple joined their guests for dinner and dancing until early dawn.”
“The escort cards included gold and silver Hamsa bracelets with the Greek “Evil Eye“ implanted on them, custom ordered by the bride.”
“For the décor, flowers as well as beautiful stationery we combined all different shades of purple along with various gold details. The decor setting was complemented by crystal chandeliers, hanging flower wreaths and opulent floral arrangements.”
And of course a dessert bar and wedding cake completed the night! We love the “best day ever” cake topper!
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
