Getting Married in a Church at Your Destination Wedding

Considering getting married in a church?  If you’re having a destination wedding in a foreign country, chances are you’ll have some spectacular church settings to choose from!  From a cathedral in Spain to the ruins of one in France or perhaps one with stunning frescos in Rome or a quaint spot in the Caribbean, your ceremony backdrop can be a spotlight for your I do’s and your guests to swoon over.  However, keep in mind many churches in other countries will have far more strict rules to wed there than what you might be used to in your hometown so be sure to check well in advance!  Or, if you simply want the look, but not the religion specifically, consider a chapel – like the one on property at the One&Only Palmilla in Mexico – complete with church bells (pictured below) or a more modern chapel like the one at the Four Seasons Bora Bora Resort.  You might be surprised how many hotels have a chapel you can make your own when you search for that perfect ceremony spot!
