I am finding it incredibly difficult to settle back into work mode after having spent a truly perfect week on the idyllic island of St. Barth’s. Should you make the wise decision to embark on the same journey, honeymoon or otherwise, be sure to explore a few of my personal favorite spots. A little prep work never hurt anybody!
I devoted the first 3 days of my trip to researching which beach I would eventually become obsessed with. In the end it was a tie. Colombier was well worth the 20 minute hike and the snorkeling there was to die for. On the other hand, the easily accessible Gouverneurs Beach was a flawless rival. Clothing optional, of course.
For dinner, L’isola was hard to beat. Best Italian on the island!
Romantic drinks and a midnight pizza? Bagatelle offers a candlelit ambiance, DJ, dance floor and an impressive champagne selection.

A noteworthy tip from our Bagatelle bartender Laurent: Grab your snorkeling gear and get to the beach by 8am if you want a peek of the island’s very friendly sea turtles. As long as you don’t approach them from behind, they are incredibly playful and happy to engage with snorkelers and divers.
