Gaby and Ryan opted for a destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico where friends and family would fly in for the fun, festive and oh-so colorful festivities! Their wedding planner, Vari Avila of Allure Event shared the planning process of this picture-perfect day with us. The couple knew they wanted to wed in Cabo, but in the beginning, didn’t know exactly where.
“Armed with information on 4 different venues to choose from, Gaby and I toured the first three venues and while all seemed great, there was something missing.
We arrived at Hacienda Cocina late in the day and as soon as we drove into the property I saw Gaby’s demeanor change – her face lit up and she became giddy with excitement. After touring the venue, we sat down to chat over margaritas and ceviche verde and Gaby finally confirmed what I knew all along, she loved everything about Hacienda Cocina and thought it would be the perfect venue for their intimate wedding celebration only a few months later.”
“The bride wore a gorgeous Reem Acra ivory gown with beaded lace and paired the dress with deep red glitter pumps and stunning deep blue drop earrings – Gaby was the epitome of femininity on her wedding day!”
“Gaby and Ryan decided on a fall color scheme of coral, orange, deep red and yellow with hints of purple and blue which complemented the beach setting beautifully.”
“For the ceremony on the beach, we chose to create a traditional ceremony setting by using ivory chapel benches with coral cushions for guest seating. The bride and groom stood under a simple canopy made with Torote tree branches as the groom’s father officiated the ceremony. Décor and color were purposely kept minimal to allow the surroundings and the sparkling Sea of Cortez to take center stage.”
“After the ceremony, guests were greeted with delicious cocktails and canapés and were serenaded by an acoustic guitarist as the sun was setting.”
“Gaby loves flowers and favors garden style arrangements so with the help of our fantastic florist, Lola del Campo, we created medium size arrangements for the reception tables that were full of movement and visual interest. Paired with gold vases, mercury glass votives, coral tablecloths and crystal chandeliers over the dance floor, the setting was truly romantic and ultra-feminine.”
“Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Gaby and Ryan released a Chinese lantern that had been filled with guests’ best wishes for the happy newlyweds. A truly wonderful sendoff for a perfect day!”
Congratulations to the newlyweds!
