Today’s Mexico destination wedding inspiration comes from our friends at SIGNATURE, Event Consulting & Design – Saraí Flores + Martha Huerta created a reception table that infuses the local charm of the Cabo San Lucas region with details perfect for an outdoor wedding reception.
Shot at the beautifully rustic Villa Valentina, the long feasting table was set beneath an array of lanterns in an outdoor pathway perfect for an intimate wedding. Saraí and Martha shared with us their design process. “We looked for the perfect setting to showcase “traditional” Mexican-inspired reception décor. Villa Valentina is the quintessential chic, Mexican-style villa and more. The property is essentially a boutique luxury resort unto itself and includes its very own restaurant, an interior design house, an art gallery by Tanya Talamante, wine store and bakery. All of these businesses are family owned and operated. Our goal for this project was to create a festive mood with authentic Mexican cultural influences, but in an unexpected way. This is how we achieved our fun, fresh Mexican-style fiesta.”
The browns and reds and colored glass added depth to the table which was paired with an eclectic group of seating and benches.
“Color cue: Because our goal was to mix textures and design elements, we kept it simple and straight-forward. Red flowers displayed in clay vases enhanced the organic, Mexican aesthetic.”
“Our design elements included wood, clay and cotton for textiles.”
We love the contrast of the heavy table number with the soft napkins below it! So perfect for a Mexico wedding!
Authentic charms and favors were tied to the napkin treatments to complete the look and excite these would-be wedding guests!
Local pottery then added just the final detail this tablescape needed to be complete! Lovely! Thanks for sharing ladies!
